Severe pelvic pain may cause anxiety to women. Pelvic pain may be caused by ovarian activity during a woman’s menstrual cycle. In some cases, however, the pain can be caused by abnormalities such as pelvic adhesions or endometriosis. In the past, an ultrasound examination did not help detecting these problems. But in recent years, with the use of high-quality equipment and innovative testing techniques, adhesions and endometriosis can be accurately diagnosed.

An ultrasound examination can detect the disease and help doctors to assess its severity, so that better decisions can be made on the optimal treatment on a case by case basis.
